Holistic Therapy Training Courses key to success

This Mindfulness Diploma trains both individuals and health professionals to become qualified instructors of mindfulness. Designed to give you the tools you’ll need to be a competent instructor, it will allow you to help both yourself and others down the path toward relaxation, life long well-being and effective mindfulness practice.

On this course Mindfulness course students learn how to teach mindfulness both to individuals and groups. Techniques include:

Progressive Muscle Relaxation
Inductions to relaxation
Relaxation through breath work exercises

Mindfulness techniques
How to teach techniques to a group
How to run mindfulness and relaxation workshops
Module 1 -Foundation Level:

1.1 Mindfulness Practice and its origins;
1.2 Proven Scientific benefits of mindfulness;
1.3 Types of Practice;
1.4 Practice Techniques;
1.5 Mindfulness practices for stress management;
1.6 Understanding the importance of posture
1.7 Releasing disturbing thoughts and feelings
1.8 The mind body connection

Module 2 – Intermediate Level:

2.1 Integrating a daily practice into everyday life
2.2 Understanding the distinction between thoughts and facts and pausing internal dialogue
2.3 Understanding personal stories;
2.4 Dealing with resistance;
2.5 Breath awareness techniques
2.6 Embracing physical discomfort in practice

Module 3 – Teacher Level

3.1 Principles of becoming a Mindfulness Teacher
3.2 The mindset cultivating curiosity,compassion, humility, gratitude, acceptance, surrender, non-judgement and appreciation
3.3 Communicating the benefits of mindfulness
3.4 How to use mindfulness for quick and easy stress reduction
3.5 Planning mindfulness classes and/or private sessions
3.6 Communicating with your students the benefits of meditation/mindfulness
3.7 Promoting your mindfulness services

Assessment for the Diploma in Mindfulness Teaching is achieved through the following means:

Supervised skills development practice
Two Lesson Plans from group sessions
Delivery of a 10 minute mindfulness session
Reflective learning journal
12 hours of documented individual and group sessions
